Back up Location (if ocean conditions not suitable) 
If the conditions are not suitable, race will be held on Lake Macquarie.

Speers Point:  Exhibitors and finish will be at: Speers Point on Lake Macquarie.

The event is hosted by Newcastle Stand Up Paddle Club, the local SUP club.

The finish location will depend on the conditions on the day.  It can be either Blacksmith Beach, Redhead Beach or Speers Point on Lake Macquarie.   Exhibitors will be set up at the finish location. 

Spectators can watch the SUP race finish and cheer on the competitors.  They can chat to exhibitors and view the latest SUP boards, clothing and equipment.  A sausage sizzle will be provided by Newcastle SUP club.  An announcer will be commenting on the race competition for the benefit of spectators.

Free board testing and demonstrations will be provided by exhibitors.  Free learn to SUP clinics will be held during the morning.   The local SUP club will provide information on how to join a club, have lessons or find out about purchasing equipment.

Senior’s – Men & Women (Age: 45 and over)
Junior’s – Boys & Girls (Age: under 18)
Age at 31st December of the year event is held

14 foot and over unlimited (rudders allowed)
14 foot and under (fixed fins)
12 foot 6 inch
Choose one class only.

1st, 2nd, 3rd trophies

Registration: from 10.00 am at designated finish location. TBA
Safety briefing: 12 noon.
Start: 1 pm
Presentations: 4 pm

Entry Conditions & Safety
Entry is open to all. 
Membership:  Must be a SUPA member or a SUPA affiliated club member.

Lifejackets are recommended (open ocean racing).
Leg-rope is mandatory - worn at all times during the race.
You need to consider/plan your personal hydration and nutrition requirements.
