The flat water short course race offers an opportunity for people to compete without requiring super athletic skills.  This is similar to Sydney’s famous city to surf fun run that attracts novices to the elite professionals.

At the same time, people new to SUP are encouraged to come along to see what SUP is all about and even try supping at one of the free SUP clinics.  They can chat to SUP manufacturers, enrol into SUP lessons, find out about joining a SUP club and simply enjoy the supping atmosphere.

Everyone is welcome.
