NSW Titles : Flat Water Races

Event:  NSW State Titles - SUP Flat Water Long Race - 6km 
            NSW State Titles - SUP Flat Water Short Race - 1500 metres

Location:  Memorial Park, The Entrance, Central Coast NSW

The SUP flat water racing events are held over one day.  There will be two races
Long race course: 6 km 
Short race course: 1,500 metres 

The Entrance provides an ideal location for the SUP race events.   Spectators can watch the races from various places around the lake and get immersed in the race atmosphere. 

Exhibitors tents will be set up from 8 am and showcasing the SUP boards, accessories and related equipment.  

Free board testing and demonstrations will be provided by exhibitors.  Free learn to SUP clinics will be held throughout the day courtesy of Central Coast Stand Up Paddle Boards, the local learn to SUP school. The clinics are open to the general public.   SUP Central, the local SUP Club is hosting the event and will be providing information and benefits on joining the club.

The Entrance Surf Club will be providing sausage sizzle, making it a great day out.  Water support and bollards provided by C4 Waterman.

Free entry for spectators.

Open Men.  Open Women
Senior Men.  Senior Women (age 45 & over)
Junior Boys.  Junior Girls (age under 18)
Age at 31st December of the year event is held.

Classes
14 foot and over unlimited (rudders allowed)
14 foot and under (fixed fins)
12 foot 6 inch
12 foot and under (non race board)

Hive Swimwear vouchers 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Female flat water
ESS Boardstore.  Cash prize 1st - $200 and 2nd $100 for both Womens and Mens flat water 6 km.
East Coast Surf (ECS) donated SUP paddle.

Trophies for 1st, 2nd & 3rd for respective divisions and classes.  

Program - Flat Water Long Course Race (6 kms)
1 lap.  1 race.   All classes and divisions race together.  5 minute staggered starts for each class.

09.30 am Safety briefing
10.00 am  Start. 

Program - Flat Water Short Course (1500 metres)
4 separate races.  1 lap.  
Safety briefing all races:  12 noon.
Race 1:  12.30 pm 14' & over unlimited
Race 2:  1.15 pm 14' & under (fixed fins)
Race 3:  2.00 pm 12'6" class
Race 4:  2.45 pm  12' & under (non race board)
Presentations:  3.30 pm

Entry closing date:    16 February 2012   
Long race: fee: $30 (one division).  $10 extra divisions.
Short race: fee:  $20 (one division).   $5 extra divisions

Entry Conditions
Membership:  Must be a SUPA member or a SUPA affiliated SUP club member. Non member single event  fee is also available.
