QLD Titles : SUP Surfing

Event: SUP Surfing QLD State Titles

Location:   Bilinga Beach, Gold Coast Qld   

The event is held over 1 day.  Participants and spectators are able to watch the competition from the beach / park grounds, chat to exhibitors and view the latest SUP boards, clothing and equipment, find out about joining a SUP club or how to enrol in learn to SUP lessons. 

Food, sausage sizzle will be available making it a great day out.   Free board testing and demonstrations will also be provided by exhibitors. 

The NIB Health Fund Beach Lockers will be onsite all day to look after your belongings free of charge so you can relax and enjoy the titles. A free pram minding facility will also be available on the day and complimentary sunscreen and water will be offered to all who take advantage of this great service.

Free entry for spectators.


Divisions
Open Men.  Open Women
Senior Men.  Senior Women (age 45 & over)
Junior Boys.  Junior Girls (age under 18)
Separate Male/Female Divisions.  Age at 31st December of the year event is held.

Classes
Surfing. No limit to board size or shape

Prizes
Trophies for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th.  Each division

7.00 am registration
8.00 am start

Registration Fee & Entry
Entry closing date:  2 March 2012 
Fee: $40 (one division).  $15 extra division


Entry Conditions
Membership:  Must be a SUPA member or a SUPA affiliated SUP club member. Non member single event  fee is also available.


Results
The comp was held in testing conditions.  10 knot cross-shore wind with minimal swell and driving rain almost resulted in the event being cancelled. The suppers made the best of the conditions.
